Something different

I am entering into a new season of life, I think...no naps. :(You may see me starting to blog again more because my children no longer nap, but on the positive side is that they go to bed much earlier. Also, my husband's work schedule varies day to day so some nights, I have an hour or two of silence. I usually don't watch TV solo and some nights I try to catch up on housework, catch up on phone calls, texts and my online life...Facebook, Skype, and emails. ;) So, if I do blog more, please forgive me for it not making sense because it probably makes sense in my tired brain. :) Here's to feeling inspired!

Romans 13

I was reminded by my Christian facebook friends of Romans 13 the day of elections and the day after. If you are a facebooker, you may be able to relate with how I felt. I was overwhelmed with everyone's rants and raves. Sure, everyone has complete entitlement of their opinion, but was shocked by some people's responses and posts. Romans 13 gave me complete peace about our President being our President.

"Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and he will commend you. For he is God’s servant to do you good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword for nothing. He is God’s servant, an agent of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also because of conscience....."

Very thoughtful in prayer lately

I have had the urge to blog about how thoughtful my prayers have been recently. I have always understood the power of prayer and totally trust that prayer is everything, but I had an "ah-ha" moment this week about how important power of prayer really is. Not from a personal standpoint, but for our Country and our leaders. Weather you were happy or disappointed with the Presidential Election, my emotion went straight to prayer. And almost a week later, my heart is still focused on prayer for our Country and leaders. Not that my prayers are going to change any political situation, but if all of us Christians came together as One Nation Under God, indifferent of our political stance, and prayed feverishly for our Country, what positive changes could be. Just think...that thought because power and that power becomes prayer!
Dear God
Please give us a president that loves this country and everything it stands for.
Please give us a president who respects you as the one true God.
Please give us a president who will, with your help, lead this nation
to your glory, the way you created her.
Please help us to respect what you have given to us and not take
...anything for granted ever again.
Please God weaken the evil and strengthen the good both without and within.
May our hearts be opened to do your will.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen
God Bless America

guilty...

I am so so bad about blogging now that my season of life of a baby/young toddler is over. It's amazing how quickly "extra" time changes as the kids get older. Their needs changes, the time changes, the busy-ness of life changes. PRAISEwear blog is still important to me, but a quick facebook post or pictures is easier for me at this very moment in life.

Praying for your children

I am ALL about helpful guidelines on how to continual pray for my kids. A friend of mine emailed me this from one of her friend's blog…it is an excerpt from a newsletter by Homemaker’s By Choice… http://www.homemakersbychoice.org/
Pray Scripturally For Your Children- Giving your child the gift of prayer
Part of building your home on holy ground is praying for your children. It is both a responsibility and a privilege. You can use the guide below in your prayer time by putting your child's name in the blank. And, as you send time in God’s Word, write down passages that you can later use as prayers specifically for your child.

Help _______________ listen to her father's instruction, and not forsake her mother's teaching. (Prov 1:8)
Show ______________ your ways, O Lord, teach him your paths, guide him in your truth...and may his hope be in you all day long. (Psalm 25:4-5)
Hide _______________ in the shelter of your presence from the intrigues of men;
keep _____________ safe from accusing tongues. (Psalm 31:20)
Help _____________ to love righteousness and hate wickedness. (Psalm 45:7)
Guide ____________'s feet into the path of peace. (Luke 1:79)
May _____________ love the Lord with all his heart and with all his soul and with all his mind.
(Matthew 22:37)
Protect ___________ from the evil one. (John 17:15)
Give ____________ strength to obey God rather than men. (Acts 5:29
May _____________ be joyful always, pray continually, and give thanks in all circumstances. (1 Thes 5:16)
May ___________ have a pure heart, good conscience and sincere faith. (I Timothy 1:5)

I posted this on my blog late last year, I love it so much that I have it on my fridge. I read an insightful article on ways to pray for your kids from "Thriving Family-focus on the family" magazine last year.
I would like to RE-share with you too- Ways to pray for your kids:
Pray for protection- Ask the Lord to watch over your little ones as they play and your teens as they drive. Trust that the Lord will protect your kids in every way- body, mind and spirit (Psalm 5:11)
Pray for grace (both for them and for you)- Ask God to help your family love each other well
(2 Corinthians 9:8).
Pray for wisdom- Ask God to help your children understand the difference between right and wrong and how to respond to difficult situations (Philippians 1:9-11)
Pray for people in authority- Pray for teachers, coaches, pastors and other who may have influence in your children's lives (1 Timothy 2:1-3)
Pray for their daily choice- pray that your children will understand that obedience brings safety and blessing (Ephesians 6:1).

Its NEVER to early to pray for your child/children's future....I'm already praying for their spouses! :)
May the Lord bless you, your family and children.

Happy Mother's Day!

I have three amazing women in my life- my mom, my step-mom and my mother in law.
They all have a significant role of who and how I am to this day.
They are all very special, valuable, encouraging to me and love them very much.
I am so blessed with each of these incredible women and hope to be half of who they are.
Thank you MOMS for everything!
Thank you Jesus for the gift of Jayden and Maddy and that I can experience the JOY of motherhood!

Heaven!

Today was the last lesson day at our community bible study that we go to every Wednesday morning. The children usually do a coloring page about what they learned for the day. Today was on Heaven! Jayden was SOOO and is still SOOO excited about heaven! The things kids say about getting to heaven is hilarious! One of my favorites was "I can't wait to see GOLD"...there were some other really silly things...the things that come out of a 3 year old's mouth! :) And then of course my all most 2 year old, Maddy gets really excited, shouting, "heaven, heaven"!

I had a moment to share that you can get to heaven by believing in Jesus with all your heart and believing that Jesus is the son of God and that he died on the cross for our sins and rose from the dead 3 days later.....they were still so excited about all that! Jayden exclaims, "I believe!" and Maddy follows with "believe!" Thank you Jesus for this sweet moment with my kids, thank you for seeing their genuine true excitement about Jesus. My prayer is that they stay this way, following Jesus with a passionate heart!
Thank you CBS and thank you leaders of the children's ministry for supporting my kiddos faith!
Blessings,

Spring...

I'm not sure about you, but Spring is flying by! I'm not sure if its because of coaching or all the extra stuff packed in my schedule, but I still can't believe that we are half way through April. Easter already came and gone and Mother's day is on the horizon. Part of me is feeling disappointed in myself for not launching a website as expected, barely making Easter shirts on time, and I am not doing Mother's day shirts or aprons. I even have a fundraising type project on my lap, but haven't had a chance to put it together with a clear mind. The one thing that I am doing, but not daily, is posting something encouraging on facebook. To all my PRAISEwear fan, I PROMISE that after track season, a NEW line of designs will be displayed and this summer will be a good time to get a website up and running. I am sorry if I have disappointed any of you or if none have you noticed, prayers would be appreciated. :)
Thanks and many blessings today.

Through the eyes of a 3yr old

Here is Jayden explaining the Easter Garden we made on Good Friday. Jayden talks about what cross Jesus died on, who died on the other crosses, what happened to Jesus' body after he died, how many days did he stay in the tomb and where he is today!

Jayden always says that Jesus died on the cross for our sins and a sin is being naughty. And being naughty is not listening, not sharing, being unloving and not being gentle with sister Maddy.
My heart melts teaching the kids about Jesus!

Easter Garden

I saw this super cool idea- Resurrection Garden on http://www.pinterest.com/ (from a college friends fb post) which led me to the blog of: http://wearethatfamily.com/2012/03/diy-mini-resurrection-garden/. I fell in love with this concept for many reasons. The main reason being that it was a great visual to teach my kids what Easter weekend is all about and felt that it was relative to make on Good Friday! Although Maddy is alittle young to understand and Jayden seems confused with 'Jesus is risen', the seed is planted and growing! :)

It was super easy and fun to make! We modified the DIY instructions of the project that suited our family as well as the availability of supplies at the store. Originally, my mind was set on the 2 inch mini terracotta flower pot, but Walmart only had the bigger ones. So I bought the bigger tray to accommodate the bigger flower pot. With two little ones in tow, the last thing I wanted to do is drive store to store to the perfect size flower pot.

Here's what you need for your Easter Garden:

1. Your sweetest blessing(s). Maddy was running around the yard, she eventually helped :)

2. pile of rocks- courtesy of our backyard
You can buy your preference of rock

3. Artifical flowers
(or plant grass seeds and watch it grow)

4. Big rock from Gramma's backyard

5. Terra Cotta plate from the gardening section at Wal-mart
6 twigs (from our backyard).
Super glue didn't work for us so I found brown thread from
my sewing kit and figure-eight the twigs together.

6. 4 inch mini flower pot
(I think the two inch would work better if you want a "hill" look shown on pinterest)

7. Potting soil
Thankfully we already had some at home
because we are planning on planting some flowers.

8. Set the mini flower pot on the plate

9. Moisture the soil and pat around the mini flower pot
Add rocks

10. Have your sweetest blessing(s) place the crosses in the soil.

11. Maddy added the final touches of the flowers

Final Look!
We are all so happy with the way it turned out!

HAPPY GOOD FRIDAY AND EASTER WEEKEND!
Blessings from our family to yours!

EASTER!

Believe it or not, but Easter is less than a month away! What does Easter mean to you?!
Its a great reflection on what Christ has done for YOU, US! The CROSS! I always think of the lyrics from "Here I am to Worship" http://youtu.be/qCeIKgdKrGc...'I'll never know how much it cost, to see my sin upon that cross'...by this point, I have both hands in the air, tears falling down my face because the cross means that much- wow! I can relate to that, can you? I mean really, I'll never know how much it cost to see my sin upon that cross- too hard to comprehend...but what a gift that JESUS did that for ME, US! I know I sin everyday, but I always think of this scripture- "This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus." Romans 3:22-24.
Thank You Jesus!

Busy!

Hey there fans!
If case you were wondering where I have been...I have embraced an amazing opportunity coaching high school long and triple jump. This has been an amazing blessing in my life and so grateful for it! My jumpers are great kids, all have hearts of gold, work hard and make me proud.
"whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God" 1 Corinthians 10:31
I am also so thankful for my amazing helping hands and sitters to help me watch my kids during this seasonal journey...friends are gifts from God to help us. That's how I feel about each family that has graciously opened their homes to my children. Thank you friends!!!

Transforming from Hobby to Business

One of the many exciting things about transforming your hobby into a business is the excitement of the little things such as a L.L.C. aka Limited Liability Company.  Today, I received my paperwork from the Arizona Corporation Commission with an official letter. It's so great seeing God's handiwork in growing my business.

God definitely creates moments where he can shine for His glory.
I "LIKED" https://www.facebook.com/#!/NorthPhoenixMacaroniKid on Facebook because my friend shared a link to Toy Story ice skating tickets. I thought, what a great resource for things to do with your kids in the North Valley so I liked the business page. Well, last week, there was a post in regards to home based businesses and a free publication so I thought, let's email Mac Kids and see if I can give some brief info about PRAISEwear. What a blessing, Shana was covering my territory and helped me put together a brief overview on PRAISEwear! Thank you Shana for mentoring me through this experience and including me in your "special edition SHOUT OUT to home-based businesses." You made my night!!!

What are your 2012 goals?

What are some of your new year goals for 2012? Love and forgive more and grudge less, Trust more and control less, enjoy peace and unity more and confront less, be more patient and rush less, have more child-like faith and overthink God's ways less, serve God more and yourself less, just some thoughts to think about, what is yours?! I hope you have a great new start, pray and trust God that he will transform you to who he has planned you to be!

Some great NEW YEAR, NEW YOU Bible verses

Here are some of my absolute favorite bible verses- great for the NEW YEAR, but also AMAZING for reflection of where your heart is too!

"...to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness." Ephesians 4:23-24.

"Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind (2011) and straining toward what is ahead (2012), I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus." Philippians 3:13-14

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!" 2 Corinthians 5:17

Its never too late to let the Lord change your heart for a renewed mind, heart, and attitude. He wants that for us!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Happy NEW Year!!

It was on my heart to share that 2011 was a great and busy year...experienced a lot new life milestones this year- joyful and sad but what I have learned and the growth through everything was amazing. I feel closer to God, family and friends because of these experiences. Beyond blessed and grateful for everyone, including YOU and everything in my life to shape me who I am this new year. As far as the business goes, I am very blessed and thankful for a great first year and thank you for your support, encouragement, feedback, and prayers. God continues to amaze me as he opens new doors and gives exciting opportunites going into the new year. Stay tuned for some great things to come! I hope and pray that you all have a healthy, happy and joyful, and blessed New Year!
